Do you use granular (pellets) or liquid?

You can read about this but in most cases, granular fertilizers are much more affective than liquid so we almost always use granular unless the lawn or climate calls for a liquid application. We will always do what is best for the lawn. We always clean-up – the Technician will blow granular products off all concrete onto the lawn before leaving.

Do you do free service calls?

Yes. We will ask for photos of the lawn to be sent via text or email first to identify what products we should bring out to the service call.

What can I do to help maintain the healthiest lawn, assuming Buy Dirt does their part?

Once “stress” season starts (June-September), making sure the lawn gets (2) 40-minute waterings per week (rain or sprinklers), is key. Do these waterings early in the morning, if possible. Avoid watering at night as that can lead to fungal disease in the lawn. Do not overwater.

Also – and this is so important – set your lawn mower to the highest setting beginning in May and leave it high until the temperatures begin to change in October. You should only bag clippings on your first mow of the season and your last 1-3 mows of the season. Otherwise, you’re doing more harm to the lawn than good and it will show 😊
